1. Project Overview
Located in Shanghai’s West Bund Media Port—at the heart of the city’s AI and digital industry cluster—Tencent’s East China Headquarters is a landmark project blending innovation, sustainability, and human-centric design. Designed by Ronald Lu & Partners, the tower embodies the concept of “A Myriad of Lights,” symbolizing Tencent’s mission to serve households around the world.
The 150-meter-high tower consists of 29 stories and a 4-story podium, featuring AI, cloud computing, and R&D spaces. It houses over 3,000 employees and has become a major hub for Tencent’s operations in eastern China.

As a trusted supplier of architectural door hardware, CROWN is proud to have contributed to this flagship project by providing high-quality hardware solutions that align with the building’s high-performance, sustainable, and design-oriented requirements.
3. Products in Use
Door Locks & Handles
To support Tencent’s secure and high-traffic working environment, we provided CROWN® Grade 3 mechanical mortise locksets, paired with minimalist lever handles. These are widely used in the tower’s office spaces, meeting rooms, and utility doors.
Hinges
CROWN supplied stainless steel ball-bearing hinges, chosen for their durability, quiet operation, and sleek design. These hinges support smooth door movement and are built to handle high-frequency usage.
Door Stops & Holders
Throughout the building’s corridors, rest areas, and shared zones, floor-mounted and wall-mounted door stops from CROWN were installed to prevent damage to walls and hardware, ensuring longevity and daily convenience.
